CHAPTER I: ELEVEN UPON A TIME
+Grandpa, what advice would you give me about life?
-Well, look, honey, I can't claim to be an expert, but what I do know is that I've learned to live. I don't know if I explain myself well, to be happy you have to live. I want to tell you what is not told, what is not known about life. It may not be perfect, but it does have wonderful moments. Find them, because despite the fact that each one deals with their own battles, it is worth living it.
+But one question, do you think that everyone has the dream life that shows? I freak out with how happy people are on Instagram, and I'm not like that.
-Of course not, the life that you can see on social networks is not real. I don't agree with them much, but from what I know they are a double-edged sword. They make us believe that happiness comes when we get what we want, but in reality it is when we know how to enjoy what we have. Don't dream of tomorrow, but of the present. The time that is enjoyed is time lived.
+ And what do I do when I don't enjoy it and feel like I can't take it anymore?
-Good question, I have to tell you that I have always been a person of impossible bets. The most important thing in life is not the triumph but the struggle. The essential thing is not to have won but to have fought. The world is crazy, messy, it's in your hands to fix it. So do it, try to change it and don't give up. Do not be overwhelmed if something goes wrong, everything happens for a reason. In those moments, just close your eyes and think of something nice.
+ And if things continue to go wrong for me?
-Don't worry, give him a couple of noses. Life is short, don't waste it on stupid things. My father always told me: “you have 47 muscles to get angry and only 13 to smile, you can be happy despite all your flaws and problems, that is something that only the brave can achieve. Enjoy every moment, time never comes back.»
+Thanks grandpa.
-I'll tell you one last thing, grandson. If I could erase all the mistakes of my past, I would be erasing all the wisdom of my present. That makes me unique. Don't live for your presence to be noticed, live for your absence to be felt. Be guided by your values, not by your goals. Everyone knows your name, but not your story...
